Botox®

Procedure: Injection of the cosmetic form of botulinum toxin used to temporarily reduce or eliminate frown lines, forehead creases, crow's feet near the eyes, and thick bands in the neck giving the skin a smoother, more refreshed appearance.

Length: 15 minutes to 1 hour per session with no anesthesia or hospitalization required.

Side Effects: You may experience temporary discomfort, redness, or burning sensations. Temporary bruising and swelling may occur.

Risks: Temporary muscle weakness or changes in facial expression may occur.

Duration of Results: A treatment schedule with injections every 4 months is recommended to maintain results. Lines recur a few months after Botox ® is discontinued.
