Change in sensitivity of nipples or breast skin sometimes occurs and is occasionally permanent. Mammography requires a special technique. (Note: Some women have reported symptoms similar to those of rheumatologic disorders. Ask your doctor about these and other FDA concerns.) Recovery: You may return to work in a few days. Low impact aerobic exercise may be resumed within a week and full activity in 4 to 6 weeks. Scars will fade over the course of several months to a year or more. Duration of Results: Results are variable. Breast implants, like any other medical device, may fail, requiring removal or replacement.
